Too Hidden
Ignorance speaks of unknown peace
War rages within ignored and incomplete
Deep ostrich holes makes nothing cease
Dark rooms where truth has no seat
Eyes cannot see what they have
Blindness from birth still gathered in
Denying themselves healing cleansing salve
Seeking only that is called sin
They face a wall with no face at all
Sun shining blocked by deep thought
No help to climb over this wall
The blind can’t see as they ought
Truth not made in thoughts they suppose
Being god puts the throne far too low
Imagining they designed how a rose grows
We’re not creators in all of life’s show
Why can the blind not see
Cauterized where the battle’s dumped them
Eyes have been opened within me
Explaining hope comes when life’s grim
I choose an affront to their mind
Decisions are made; dominions are wrought
I see where they are still blind
Letting in what we choose to be taught
Not seeking the God of my peace
Struggling for conquest in this war
Never knowing the sweet release
Surrender gives victory evermore
