I knew you once, I knew you when
Though we may never meet again.
The bonds we shared, the silly grins
Some days we cried. But most were wins
Our lives are more than who we touch
They’re hopes and dreams, wonders and such
We’re knit together and stitched in love
By God’s own Spirit from above.
Still we’re apart by His desire
Fueled to share His Holy Fire
As our quilt of life seems to grow
It covers with love those we know.
