A song is three minutes to proclaim a thought
One to say “Listen to what Jesus taught”
Two to give glory to His holy name
And three to repeat them and say it again
Three minutes is all that it should take
To say three things for your souls sake
Only three minutes to repeat them three times
And somewhere in three minutes maybe a rhyme
In one I could tell you what matters the most
Like loving Jesus and believing in the Holy Ghost
Praising His name with all the heavenly host
Bowed down on your knees with God as your boast

God is one Father and He is one Son
God is one spirit since before time begun
Knowing these three are still the only one
Brings the sinner joy and makes the devil run
Two is when I’m needing something new to say

For there’s coming a time we call the last day
