Mondays are often days of sheer dread. Especially for those with the leftovers from Fridays hanging over their head. Sometimes folk think they’re better off to just stay in bed.
But I think there is much more which can be said. It’s far from a disaster of being financially bled. When you get up in the morning the sky’s not usually red. It can be a joy to not know what is lying ahead. All of the burden from last week can be shed. And the fear of succeeding can truly be widespread.
Mondays are good days to get yourself fed. Coffee can be nice with a good banana nut bread. They’re not busy days if you’re thinking of getting wed. There is shopping and chores and the laundry you dread. But why let it bother you and go to your head. Just kick back and relax and have some fun instead.
And Mondays can be days when it all goes from fun and frivolity to disaster and discord in one incomplete sentence. I truly abhor living among people who are less prepared for social interaction than Balaam’s ride. Yet, it is my lot, our lot. Who am I to complain? How long has God endured my egotistical grandiosity? Besides,
