The “T” Things of God

Trustworthiness is among the highest of compliments one can be paid. This says someone can be certain that the things, which come from your lips are provable by your walk with the Lord. The gift which He has entrusted to you is properly displayed and cared for. To be otherwise is to be unworthy

1Kings 17:24 And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in your mouth is truth

Isaiah 8:20   To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them

Malachi 2:6   The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity

Matthew 10:38 And he who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.

Mark 10:21   Then Jesus, beholding him, loved him and said to him, One thing you lack. Go, sell whatever you have and give it to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven. And come, take up the cross and follow Me

Friends or Enemies

It is important that you understand the intent of your enemy and who caused them to be your enemy. It is not uncommon to have differences in views or goals. It is understandable that some will choose different paths. It is even possible to see some commonalities in the choices and purposes of others. When some think alike they feel justified and vindicated in their accomplishments. Just knowing that others have chosen similarly gives comfort and strength. People root for the same sports team for no better reason than where they were born. If someone likes the same animals, the same guns, the same books, then they are worthwhile and acceptable in your eyes. Those who do not may well become your enemy.

The “S” Things of God

Sovereignty  Great and mighty is the Lord our God. He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. There is none beside Him. He is the almighty potentate. There is no limit to that over which He has authority. There is no limit to the authority which He has over it. He is sufficient within Himself and all other existence is totally dependent upon Him.

Psalms 48:1    Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.

Isaiah 44:6   Thus says the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

Isaiah 45:5   I am Jehovah, and there is none else, no God besides Me; I clothed you, though you have not known Me;

Isaiah 45:6   that they may know from the rising of the sun, and to the sunset, that there is none besides Me. I am Jehovah, and there is none else;

The “R” Things of God

Righteousness To be right minded, right hearted, right walking. Oh, to live as did the Savior and touch lives for His glory by never faltering from His path. Yet when we falter and eagerly rejoin the sin which so easily besets us, we have the assurance of His cleansing and righteousness bestowed upon us again.

Psalm 101:3   I will set no wicked thing before my eyes. I have hated the work of those who turn aside; it shall not hold on to me.

Psalm 119:106 I have sworn, and I will perform [it], that I will keep your righteous judgments.

1John 1:9   If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
