Travelling Through

As I listen to people talk about the sickness and death and other tragedies they are going through, I get the sense they were expecting more out of life. It seems like they feel they weren’t given their fair share of the good stuff. It makes me want to ask “who ever promised 99 years of trouble free bliss?”

Life comes at us like a six lane highway. In my short ride to get where I need to go, I seem to be passing a thousand cars bumper to bumper going the other way at a crawl. Wherever they are going it must be worth it because so many are headed that way.
Am I the only one in this lane?

Here’s one I hear often: “I know you said you would never give me more than I can handle but I think your pushing my limit here. When will it end?”

Maybe it will end when we stop asking the question.
He has never, He will never, give us a situation He has not already given us a solution for.
If we already have the answer to the problem, do we need to ask again?
Perhaps if we don’t believe the answer or trust the giver of the answer…

Or possibly you weren’t paying attention because you were distracted by the things of this world instead of listening to the author of the next.
