Fresh

Fresh. That seems to be the demand these days. Not necessarily something new but fresh. Yet today, it just isn’t there. I’m speaking of writing thoughts down. I’ve started and stopped, sidestepped and fumbled. Tried to do other things to clear my mind and I am still out of clever, crisp, sharp, clear, new and fresh. It’s just not there. I used a good part of that energy this morning with a new piece I don’t feel ready to put out yet. It is not that my thoughts or ideas are life shattering dynamos intended to set the world on fire. It is like a poem which was started a while ago and never quite got finished:

Are your days not going just as you thought?
You expected that a future from goals you were taught,
Would give joy and success the way it aught.
So, what has happened to the way you sought?

I’ve quoted it before: life is what happens while you’re busy making plans.
Then we reminisce, wondering what we missed. Still there is a future, a chance for joy and bliss. Our plans, the circumstance of life, the plans of other people; sometimes they meld, sometimes they collide.
So here are five thoughts on righteousness
The difference is between Righteousness and religion
The Righteous grieve when they are not righteous
Religion rejects God’s righteous reign
Real Godly religion is righteousness in action
I’d rather be righteous in God’s eyes than rotting in the best religion man has.
