Not Just My God

Life has a way of owning your day
Things keep you from being
His at work and at play
But I find the place where I see his face
when I shut out the world and I sing and I pray

“and He’s not just my god, and He’s not just my king,
and He’s not just my lord, He’s my everything”

There troubles are smaller, true friends draw near
When I’m before Him there isn’t a tear
I shout out in victory “I’m taking back this day!”
Glancing around to see who’ll hear as I say

“He’s not just my god, and He’s not just my king,
and He’s not just my lord, He’s my everything”

His blood was shed so I’ll never be the same
He owns this day when I’m praising his name
I’m not walking with the devil in shame
Here’s what I’m shouting by His Spirit’s flame

“He’s not just my god, and He’s not just my king,
and He’s not just my lord, He’s my everything”
