Depression
Yesterday’s post was very difficult. And I feel like today I want to deal with one of the blessings we experience when we know Jesus through those kind of tough times. The depression which cyclically follows life’s undesirable events is often debilitating and cruelly reminds us of our inability to be the master of our universe. There is One who is the Master and He knows the trial, the heartache and all about the depression. We know that He knows the pains He knows we know. Some days just knowing that helps some days it doesn’t. But have you ever wondered if He, the sovereign Lord of the universe ever gets depressed? Continue reading

Something Like That
I watch them going in to work. They are tired, lonely and hurting even when they arrive. They move in pain and grimace as they approach the short flight of stairs into the building. Their walk is hobbled. Some use a cane or something like that for assistance. A hand may go up to steady themselves onto the railing or wall or nearby desk. Their weight shifts from side to side as they struggle forth. I wonder within myself what circumstance would cause them to endure their personal agony day after day.
