I Love You

My thoughts this morning turned to how especially wonderful my relationship with the Lord is. Rather than being able to eloquently expound His marvelous greatness, I’ll just stop with these few lines He gave me to sing back to Him this morning while driving to work. Truly He is beyond mere words.

Oh the peace of this hour, Is not a soft rain shower
It’s, I Love You
No one ever need cower, Before this mighty strong tower
That says, I Love you
His love blossoms like a flower, When your soul has been scoured
With, I Love you

Remember

It is a quiet day, early in the morning. No new crisis, no new disaster, not a need for urgent prayer. It is a day of solemn remembrance. Yet the world has changed since breakfast. I imagine in my heart the anguish of my daughter’s friend who this week is having a serious brain procedure performed on her young infant. I can somewhat empathize because of the paths we have walked with our own and yet, I have not been where she is at. Continue reading

Why Writers Write

Millions of people are gifted, talented or inspired to be the ready scribe spoken of in Ezra 7:6. Throughout recorded histories men, women, boys and girls have sought to express themselves in ways that would allow others to know and understand events and times even though they were not there.
