Past Thoughts

The year 2015 has begun and we are still here. As I looked back over some online postings not on this blog, I wanted to select a few which were particularly impactful for me. Here, in no particular order, without attributing them to any specific persons are thoughts I was inspired to write or copy for my benefit.

At the end of the day’ you’ve either walked with God or went the other way
And it’s really Okay because you ought to have your say
It’s your life lived your way, Pleasure in the night and in the day
Still I wonder if what You do will stay important in your work and play
I just keep remembering Jesus say, “I am the truth the life and the way”

Why do you think He is continually pursuing you?
How do you know He just wants to correct you, again?
Stop trying to hide. Stop ignoring Him.
Stop paying attention to other things and everyone else. Just turn around and face Him.
His desire is you. You need Him.

No one is a lonely phrase, No one should ever know.
No one ought to have days, Without love’s simple glow.
No one should have life, Where no one holds them dear.
No one should know hate, Shouted in their ear.
No one has the answer, My soul is longing for.
No one but the one, Knocking on my hearts door.
No, there is One who knows, He’s promised in His word,
That every cry and prayer, In Heaven would be heard.

“If you’re a Christian, here’s the good news: Who you really are has nothing to do with you—how much you can accomplish, who you can become, your behavior (good or bad), your strengths, your weaknesses, your sordid past, your family background, your education, your looks, and so on. Your identity is firmly anchored in Christ’s accomplishment, not yours; his strength, not yours; his performance, not yours; his victory, not yours.”
His, NOT yours. A serious thought, worthy of serious consideration.
