Treasure

The cards are stacked against me
The house’s game is rigged
I’ll find out later that when I zagged
I really should have ziggedRising in Glory

It is not so very important for me, to have held the winning hand
It is much better to know, who is weak and who is truly grand

The hope I have in this life,  is not for every pleasure
But for my heart to be in tune, with He who holds the treasure

Not the wealth this world provides, for such desire is far too small
I’d rather be called by His grace,  a son of Him who owns it all

A planet, a star, a street of gold, a life spent without terror
These are the lofty goals of some, who know not of their error

One moment of peace, a spec of time, when I’m caught up to realms above
Are when all else fails to measure, up to the power of His love

I say no thing which is new, to those who demand we speak thus
There is one gift I hold out to them, and that is the name of Jesus.
