Because

When asked “Why?”, they say “Because,
we understand not what the Spirit does;”
“Working in hearts of some dear souls
to change the path of their chosen goals.”
So onward they plod without much thought
of Christ on the Cross and what He has bought.
Pressures and trials cloud their worldly view
as they wonder about the chosen few.
The old life had left them tattered and torn
but they are now changed and completely reborn.
The treasures of Christ are theirs to proclaim
as they walk about shouting His name.
And when they have left this old world behind,
they’re rejoicing in heaven but we don’t mind;
Because we understand not what the working is
in the hearts of souls who now say “We are HIS!”
