Stones & Ripples
There were smooth flat ones, rounded ones and jagged edged ones. They came in every size from pebbles to rocks and almost boulders. Yet with the same fluid effortless motion, He gathered each one, aimed it well and cast it far into the water. With a resounding plunk-ker-thunk, the largest pushed aside mountains of the cool liquid and sent large waves cascading away from the impact point. Every one making the impact it was intended to do. Even the smaller ones were purposed and planned to fall where they did from these strong hands. The tiniest pebbles could also be seen hitting the water by the small gentle ripples which radiated out from where they entered. Continue reading

It came and went without my wit. The flu bug had me trapped and shivering for just a bit.
I was even prepared for such an event.
I had a poem set aside if I didn’t feel like writing, but was to ill to even get to the keyboard.

The Best Day
I’ve already had the best day of the year. And day number two is getting near. I have been with family who are friends. With joys and laughter, that come from sharing and even pretends. Changing yesterday is not in our power but building tomorrows is done hour by hour. We’ve stayed up late not wanting it to end. We’ve spoken softly of sorrows and tried not to offend.
