Treasure
Pain and Doubt
Although our last days on earth are often riddled with pain and doubt, we are blessed. If you were able to remember, you would see that your first days on earth were riddled with doubt and pain as well. There was that whole “Leaving your comfort zone” thing along with gasping for breath. As you grew into a young child and entered the first grade there was much doubt. Why would your parents desert you with a group of strangers only to change their minds after several hours and take you back home? Then they did it over and over again for days without end. That produced a lot of doubt and insecurity. For some it was accompanied with pain. Few of us have gone through teenage years without these constant companions. Marriage, child bearing, providing for a family, job changes, medical crisis and recoveries all seem to have been filled with the ever present pain and doubt twins. Continue reading
Free from Plan B
God don’t make no junk and stuff doesn’t just happen
Some folks love singing and others love rappin
God has designed and and there isn’t a plan B
He has purposed and promised so my choices are free
This is His will for you to know, that none should perish and go below
The pleasures we know are all by His hand, life in His will is always grand
Finding purpose in His will is like, cool autumn days and a long summer hike

God’s Joys
There must be a God in Heaven, who takes particular joys;
In seeing His children pleasured, by His choices for their toys.
He knows the needs they have, He provides for every care
And just to prove His love, He has great treasures to share.
He gives us skills and talents, so we will think we have earned,
All the blessings we can share, in this life where we’ve sojourned.
The desires of our hearts come, from His Loving kindness now,
As each day He gives fully, while we just wonder how.
What is the greatest goal, which treasure would you have?
Would it be your song with Him, or a touch of healing salve?
He has already sent it, for He knows the needs of each;
There is no joy, no treasure, His love withholds from your reach.
Why would you seek another, where would more joy come from?
For He claims there is no other, and you’re really not that dumb.
