Past Thoughts
The year 2015 has begun and we are still here. As I looked back over some online postings not on this blog, I wanted to select a few which were particularly impactful for me. Here, in no particular order, without attributing them to any specific persons are thoughts I was inspired to write or copy for my benefit.
At the end of the day’ you’ve either walked with God or went the other way
And it’s really Okay because you ought to have your say
It’s your life lived your way, Pleasure in the night and in the day
Still I wonder if what You do will stay important in your work and play

Like Dancing with the Lord
Watching the sun come up on the first day of the year with my granddaughter. No birds are chirping. One lone squirrel scampers across the barren tree limbs. Even the few dangling brown leaves are unmoved by the gentle breeze. It is chilly outside but toasty warm standing before the dining room window. Slowly the symphony of wispy clouds in shades of grey and pink, yellow and white glide to meet the rising sun. All waiting for the first bright beams to crest the mountain top. It’s like dancing with Lord of the Universe. His day, His way. I sure would like to feel that way every day of this coming year.
It is winter. Night came as the sun tucked its last rays in the western sky on the last day of the year. The stars came out. The moon traveled its path; darkness conquered once again. Then came the morning. As dawn began its triumphant march, our eyes opened to once again acknowledge His great glory. A new day, a new year, a new time to continue in the hope of His presence. A Standard Renewable Post
It is the last day. The last day of the year is December thirty first. The next is January first. That day will begin a new year. This one is well spent. It has had three hundred sixty five days to fill all it is. That which was to be done in this year either has been or will not be this year. My granddaughter (One of the premier joys in my life) reminds me there are still a few hours left. Some will be done with this year and moving on to the next chapter in their life. Some will be done with this life at the end of this year and be moving on to the next. Some did not make it through the full year. Their time stopped, their lives changed part way through.
