Recent research results seem to indicate that the secret to long life is found in the quality and quantity of relationships. The Length of Life is not a secure achievable goal. Decision
Nobody knew what his decision was. They only knew he was gone. His father had said he was too big for his britches. He wanted to see the world. Being raised on horses and loneliness was not what he desired. But it was the lot he had been dealt in his young life. He had been a decent student in school but the world seemed to turn too slowly for him. Everyday was a new conflict. Everything seemed to be another war. A Lie
There is a place where it is written, “Hereby know we the spirit of truth and the spirit of error”. An intentional error is a lie. We are able to distinguish between the truth and the lie only when one is established as immutable. Otherwise it is an opinion. Opinions can be influenced and changed. I like the analogy that equates opinions to armpits. Everyone has a couple of them and sometimes they stink. Continue reading
He Is Peace
There is a peace so pleasant and profound that the breeze blows though the trees without sound and the mighty waving of the limbs cause no leaves to fall. Terror and drama have disappeared.
Memories of tragedy and sorrow seem so distant that you question if you might wake up and yet you know you are already awake. It is the most beautiful precious flavorful presence of the Lord of Glory. In His presence toil and trouble and life itself must be swallowed up in peace.
Yet, He has recorded for us in His love letters that it is in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, we are completely transformed from temporary physical beings into the eternal joys promised by His provision.
