The Jesus I see, is but a reflection of me.
In the mirror is truth, for the aged or youth
It shows forth the power, which I stand in each hour
A smile or a frown, declares great joy or is cast down
My desire is to own, true faith without a groan
The Jesus I see, is but a reflection of me.
That which I call sin, measures my lust found within
The tests of my deeds, reveal how I discount my greeds
When I shout of His grace, it’s because I approve of the place
I find myself at, wearing my self-righteous hat
The Jesus I see, is but a reflection of me.
The strength I claim, is what I can muster in His name
But truly I’ve found, in the praises I sound
That putting Him first, who always satisfies my thirst
This reflection I see, is Jesus who has set me free
